First Sergeant Angelo D. Woodhouse began his career with the Virginia State Police in 1980 after attending Christopher Newport College. He served four years as a trooper assigned to the I-95 corridor in Richmond, VA. He was appointed recruiter in 1984 and was promoted to Senior Trooper in 1988 and Sergeant in 1989. His supervisory assignments have included those of an area sergeant with the motorcycle unit and then as a headquarters' sergeant. He was promoted to First Sergeant in 1996 and assigned to the Criminal Intelligence Division of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, where for the past eight years he has supervised the Analytical, Financial Crimes and Research Units. He has recently taken over the duties of supervising the Technical Services Unit, which is also located in the Criminal Intelligence Division and is responsible for the statewide surveillance and technical operations. First Sergeant Woodhouse has been his agency's representative to LEIU for six years. First Sergeant Woodhouse, in addition to being his agency's a representative to LEIU, is also liaison for MAGLOCLEN and ROCIC. He is also the chairman of the Investigative Roundtable on Organized Crime, an organization whose purpose is to promote the exchange of information among agencies by sponsoring a conference in Virginia Beach, Virginia each September.
