Lieutenant, Union County (NJ) Prosecutor's Office

Lieutenant Kevin Foley is currently the Commander of the Intelligence Unit of the Union County (NJ) Prosecutor’s Office and has been the Law Enforcement Intelligence Unit Representative for that agency since May, 2004. Lieutenant Foley was appointed as the Eastern Zone Vice Chairman in October, 2005. He was born Chicago, Illinois and has lived in New Jersey since 1964. Lieutenant Foley graduated from Seton Hall University with a B.A. in law enforcement. He has worked for the Union County Prosecutor's Office since March, 1984. Lieutenant Foley was a Detective until December, 1999 when he was promoted to Sergeant. He was promoted to Lieutenant in January, 2003. Lt. Foley has had several assignments at the prosecutor’s office, including narcotics, special prosecutions (white collar crimes), auto theft, homicide, and the child abuse unit. In December, 2002 the County Prosecutor and Chief established the Union County Prosecutor's Office Intelligence Unit and placed Lieutenant Foley in command. He has been the Commander since that time. In January, 2007 the Union County Gang Task Force was restructured and is now the Union County Gang Intelligence Section of the Intelligence Unit and was also placed under his command.
