Tulsa (OK) Police Department
Sergeant Lowell Due graduated from Northeastern State University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. He subsequently earned a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration in 1994 and has been a commissioned member of the Tulsa, Oklahoma Police Department since 1985. In addition to patrol assignments at Uniform Divisions’ North, East and Southwest, Sergeant Due spent time working in the Uniform Division East, Street Crimes Unit. He has also been assigned to the Special Investigations Division where he has worked as a narcotics investigator and supervisor for thirteen years. While assigned to the Special Investigations Division, he served as the first supervisor of the newly formed Intelligence Unit, directing full-time intelligence officers and civilian analysts. Sergeant Due has also has been active with the Major Cities Intelligence Commanders (MCIC) and assisted in hosting that organization’s annual conference in Tulsa in April 2005. Additionally, Sergeant Due has served with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration’s, Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) and High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) programs as an investigator and supervisor. He is presently assigned to his third detachment with the DEA within the OCDETF program. Sergeant Due served as the LEIU Vice-Zone Chairperson for the Central Zone from September 2005 until November 2006 and is currently the Central Zone Chairperson.
