We are pleased to announce the opening for the registration for the 2018 LEIU/IALEIA Annual Training Event at the Marriott Hotel in Anaheim, CA, April 9-13, 2018. We are currently working on agenda details and the LEIU/IALEIA website will be updated as information becomes available. We will also be offering two additional training sessions in conjunction with the Annual Training Event.
On Sunday, April 8, 2018 Michael Bazzell will be offering a training session on “OSINT & Digital Privacy Updates”. As most of you who have attended past LEIU/IALEIA Annual Training Events know—Michael has been in big demand for several of his training sessions. He has agreed again this year to offer this class. This will be Michael’s ONLY public presentation in 2018 so we encourage you to attend. Although this is being held in conjunction with the Annual Training Event—we need to have a separate registration for this training. The cost to attend this Sunday training is $200 for members and $300 for non-members. When you go to the webpage to register you can register for one training and then click over to register for the other. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience in having to register twice.

Additionally, ESRI will be offering a class entitled “Introduction to Web GIS for Intelligence Analysts” on Monday morning April 9, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (this is just prior to the Opening Ceremonies of the Annual Training Event which starts at 1:00 p.m.). See the attached flyer to see specifics on this training. ESRI is providing laptops for this training opportunity so seating is limited to 36 people. Registrations for this class will be on a first-come-first-serve basis (we will create a small waiting list in case of cancellations). We will be charging a nominal fee of $50 for this training. Registration for the ESRI training can be made at the end of your registration for the Annual Training Event. It is not a separate registration—you just add to your checkout.
We have attached flyers on the Annual Training Event the OSINT & Digital Privacy Updates Training, and the ESRI training. Additionally—we have attached an interactive registration form in case you cannot register online (the online registration is very much encouraged and will make your check-in at the training event much easier). Additionally—you must register online if you want to attend the OSINT & Digital Privacy Updates Training and/or the ESRI Training.
Finally, we want to make you aware of a registration caveat. We have a contractual agreement with the Marriott Hotel for a minimum amount of room nights in order to qualify for complementary meeting spaces and not incur penalties. In order to qualify for the published training event rate ($450 for members and $650 for non-members) you must stay at our host hotel or designated overflow hotel (if one becomes necessary).
